Having attended Douglas College and the University of British Columbia, I began my working career in Construction Management. I worked up near the Alaskan panhandle on a mine-expansion project. My father was a contractor so this type of work was already in my blood. I came back to the Lower Mainland and worked as a construction manager for a couple of local general contractors. I discovered that I was really a ‘city boy’ and that working in and around the Vancouver area was far more to my liking.

Another thing I discovered about myself was that I liked to interact with other people rather than spending too much time in an office. Real Estate seemed like a natural fit for me.

I began my Real Estate career in 1983 with Block Bros. Realty (at that time they were by far the largest company in British Columbia ). In 1985 I moved to a new up-start company called RE/MAX. The rest…as they say…is history!

Since my start in 1983, I have seen virtually every type of market from the frenzy of the late 80’s to the doldrums of the mid 90’s and everything in between.  Throughout my successful career I have always put my clients’ interests ahead of my own. I feel as though this has been the key to my longevity. I have always strived to conduct myself with the highest of ethics and integrity. Furthermore, I have always continued to hone my skills as a Realtor and take great pride that. The best compliment my clients pay to me is that “I sure don’t act like a salesperson”.  A few of my professional achievements:

  • RE/MAX International Hall of Fame (Since 1994)
  • Quarter Century Club (Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver)
  • Gold Master Medallion Club (REBGV)

  • RE/MAX 100% Club (13 times)
  • RE/MAX Presidents Club
  • RE/MAX Executive Club
  • Luxury Home Marketing Institute (2008)

When I am not busy working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family. Having 4 children, I certainly understand and appreciate the roll of a parent and have always tried to set a good example for my children to follow. I also really enjoy playing tennis with my good ol’ buddies when time permits.

I love to talk politics (local, national and international), and am personally committed to doing my bit to alleviate third-world poverty. I have spoken to various groups regarding my missionary work in El Salvador .

My personal mission statement is: “If you do the very best you can for others in this world, the rest will take care of itself!”

Charity is something which I stongly believe in. Having first been introduced to the desperate circumstances in El Salvador several years ago, my wife and I have become advocates for the poor in that country. I try to take time to raise an awareness to the plight of the world's poorest and would welcome the opportunity to speak to you or your group about how you can help. I would also urge you to checkout www.kiva.org for information on Micro-loans and how you can make a difference.

I am also the president of Aura Humanitus Society
